Emily Jeffrey is a multi-faceted artist based in Launceston, Tasmania.

Working with oils, acrylics, and charcoal, she creates art that invites quiet reflection, encouraging viewers to slow down, to rest, and to notice the small, beautiful moments that weave meaning into everyday life. 

Art has always been a natural part of Emily’s journey. Though she is currently working part-time as an artist, the creative process has been a lifelong companion, a way to explore, express, and connect. Her paintings draw from the richness of human experience: the uniqueness of every person, the silent wisdom of animals, and the dreams that shape our inner worlds. 

Each medium she chooses speaks to a different aspect of her vision. Oils offer depth and emotion; acrylics bring energy and light; charcoal grounds her work in raw, honest expression. Through these materials, Emily builds layers of feeling, subtle textures that echo the complexity of what it means to be alive. 

Her work is not about grand declarations, but quiet invitations: to feel seen, to feel understood, to find comfort, hope, and wonder in the spaces between moments. Whether portraying a soulful portrait or a fleeting connection, her art creates a place where viewers can find pieces of themselves reflected back with tenderness. 

"I believe joy lives in the small things," Emily says. "The way light touches a wall, the feeling of resting without hurry, the unspoken connection between souls. Through my art, I hope to offer a space where people can pause, breathe, and remember they are not alone."

The Dragon Collection

I was in the midst of a profound shift in my perspective on life.

I realized that we are running out of time, that life is special, and that ideas hold as much weight as reality.

With these thoughts swirling, I turned to charcoal. Its raw, expressive nature felt right for conveying the depth of my realizations.

I chose to draw dragons. They are beautiful, limitless, powerful, and serve as protectors.

As I worked, I felt that everyone needs to dream, to take the time to truly look around. You never know what you might find—maybe even a dragon.

Then, I learned that some believe dragons still exist, guarding us like guardian angels.

This revelation transformed my work. It wasn't just about drawing dragons anymore; it was about embodying the comfort and inspiration that ideas alone can provide.

Each stroke of charcoal became a reminder that our imagination holds power. My dragons became symbols of unseen guardians, inspiring us to believe in the extraordinary.

Through my collection, I hope to remind viewers that in the chaos of life, there's magic in our dreams and ideas. They are our timeless guardians.

And maybe, just maybe, there's a dragon watching over us all.
